Plastics Recycling

The plastics recycling sector is advancing methodologies to recover post-consumer and post-industrial plastic waste. However, recycled materials often present challenges such as excess moisture, unpleasant odors, poor flow behavior, immiscibility between polymers, and instability during reprocessing. Ingenia addresses these issues by offering INCIRCLE^® branded products designed to enhance the quality of recyclate and to compatibilize multi-material plastic products.

Ingenia provides solutions for reprocessing post-industrial and post-consumer recycled materials. Recycled resin can suffer from discoloration, odor, moisture and processing instability. Ingenia has efficient solutions for these challenges and can support the reuse of recycled resin in blown and cast films, injection and blow molding, and sheet extrusion applications among others. For film applications we offer additives for improved bubble stability, compatibilization and process control improvement. We also offer standard additives designed to be used in combination with recyclate, these include slip, white, and filled masterbatch solutions. Our compatibilizers are high performing at low use levels and can be added during the recycling process to generate improved optical and mechanical properties of pelletized recyclate. Compatibilizers are also used in a design for recycling manner in multilayer, multi-material barrier films, so that end of life packaging is ready to be recycled.
